Peninsula Ski Club is pleased to introduce our newly appointed club Ski Pro, Cathy Margiotta. She will serve as an advisor, coach, instructor, and club representative, and will be offering private coaching and group lessons with rates and schedules to be announced. Her appointment is effective January 1, 2020.
Cathy's professional career as a ski instructor began at Wintergreen in 2000 where she taught skiers of all ages and abilities until 2015. She is a PSIA certified Level II Alpine Ski Instructor, holds certification as a Master Teacher, and accreditation in Sports Science. She is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America where she maintains her accreditation through annual on-snow continuing education credits. Cathy has conducted specialized training for women ski patrollers as well as PSC ski racing clinics, blogs regularly on all things skiing, and presents programs on skiing techniques and physical conditioning at our general meetings. Her commitment to our club is demonstrated through her many years of service on the Board of Directors as president, ski chair, publicity chair, and newsletter editor. Please join us in welcoming Cathy to her new position.
