Not the Newsletter special addition: All about the Holidays 2021

Festivities are beginning to take shape for PSC’s annual holiday event. Here are all the details in one place so hold on to your Christmas hats and stockings.

• Save the date: Thursday evening, Dec. 16^th at the Jewish Community Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Center is located at 401 City Center Blvd. Newport News, Va. Please use the main entrance.

   

• Registration is required through our website’s calendar events at https://peninsulaskiclub.com/HolidayParty21

   

• Deadline to sign up is 12/9/21 at 5 p.m. and cancellations will be accepted through 12/15/21 at 5 p.m.

   

• There is a $15.00 fee for each non-member guest, payable by credit card when you register, or by check or cash at the door. Please bring your spouse, significant other, and friends. The more the merrier.

   

• Doors will open at 5 pm for room set up, table decorations, and *table sponsorship (described below).We are decorating from the ground up. JCC will provide tablecloths on round tables that seat 6.PSC will provide poinsettias to serve as center pieces. If you can lend favorite Christmas decoration(s) to add to the festivities, your point of contact is Agnes Evans.

   

• PSC has an ample supply of paper products and utensils, as well as beverage cups. Please BYOB and any special stemware you need for personal use. Agnes has again offered to supply the coffee station, including coffee mugs.

   

• *TABLE sponsorship is voluntary and a novel idea to reduce waste by adopting a table for 6 using your favorite Christmas table settings, from placements to plates, utensils, glassware, napkins, etc, Contact Agnes with any questions and to claim a table. Please note: there are no kitchen facilities.

   

• Main dishes, sides and desserts will be accepted through Peninsula Ski Club's Holiday Party (signupgenius.com)

• Please gather at 6:30 p.m. to greet your friends, and to add your food items to the buffet line. Electrical plugs for any crock pots or other heating elements will be available in the buffet line, as there are no kitchen facilities, (i.e., No Microwave.)Yong Cho is donating two hams from his Honey Hams stores.

   

• The buffet line will open at 7 pm. Bring the plate from your place at a sponsored table.
