Ski Trips - 2026

Our ski trip schedule for 2026 includes one trip to the western U.S. (Steamboat, CO), one Canadian trip (Banff SkiBig3, AB), and one eastern trip (Killington, VT). Trips will go on sale through our website at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, coinciding with the May club meeting. Additional details will be posted here as plans firm up.
All three of these destinations are covered by Alterra Mountain Company's Ikon Pass and Ikon Base Pass. Minor discounts on Ikon passes are available when purchased in conjunction with the Steamboat or Banff trips; contact the respective Trip Captains for details. In addition, the Steamboat and Banff trips will offer conventional lift tickets; the Killington trip will rely on separately purchased Ikon passes. If you plan to ski multiple destinations next season, the Base Pass may be the most affordable option. Be aware that pass prices are lowest when purchased early, and will increase in stages before going off sale in the fall as the new ski season approaches.

In addition to our three club trips, PSC members are eligible to register through participating clubs for additional trips sponsored by the Blue Ridge Ski Council and its member clubs. Links to these offerings will be posted below as they become available.

Important: Please review the policy section at the bottom of this page before signing up for trips.

Pricing

Advertised prices are good-faith estimates and could vary up or down depending on the number of trip participants, exchange rates, airline surcharges, weather delays, and other factors. Funds collected in excess of actual expenses plus club overhead will be refunded to participants following completion of the trip.

Single Travelers Policy

Single travelers will assume the extra cost of a private room (single supplement) if a suitable roommate cannot be found. To eliminate such risk, single travelers are encouraged to make mutual arrangements for a roommate and to specify their roommate at the time of trip sign-up. Two singles who do not wish to room together will each incur the cost of a single supplement if no other acceptable roommates are available. In some cases, lodging capacity and bedding configurations may limit the number of singles that can be accommodated.

Early Sign-up Discount

Trip prices are normally discounted by $25 if the initial deposit and any currently due payments are received before October 1, but certain trips may establish earlier discount deadlines. Payments by mail will be considered received as of the postmark date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Membership dues are non-refundable and all payments are final.

Payments for ski trips are subject to the following cancellation fees:
  1. $5 for trips priced at $100 or less.
  2. For trips priced over $100, (a) $25 if cancelled up to the date of the September meeting, or (b) $50 if cancelled after the September meeting date and before the stated refund cutoff date for the trip, or (c) if cancelled after the stated refund cutoff date, the greater of (i) the club's unrecoverable costs or (ii) $50.
  3. Individual trips may establish higher cancellation fees which will be noted in marketing materials for the trip.
  4. Certain items purchased in conjunction with trips (e.g., season or multi-resort passes) may be non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.
Fees for other club activities are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

By signing up for a club activity, the participant agrees that the club is not liable for refunds for circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to, travel disruptions due to weather, lack of snow at destination resorts, civil unrest, pandemic, etc. In such circumstances, the club will make reasonable attempts to recover whatever funds it can and return them to affected participants. The club recommends that participants purchase travel insurance to cover contingencies. A trip participant also acknowledges that the club, consisting of unpaid volunteers, makes its best efforts to arrange trips suitable to the members, but makes no guarantees or warranties of any kind.

Release and Indemnity Agreement

By signing up for any of these trips, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Peninsula Ski Club of Virginia, Inc., and its officers and activity leaders, from any and all liability for any claims made by you or any member of your family for personal injuries, illness, property damage, or other costs or losses sustained or incurred by you or any member of your family during any club-sponsored or club-related activities.
