HomeSki Trips - 2019 (v.1)

Ski Trips - 2019

For the 2019 ski season, we have five trips lined up, two in the West (Steamboat and Big Sky) and two in the East (Snowshoe and Sunday River), plus a two-day ski racing clinic at Bryce Resort in Virginia. Click on the individual trip listings below for additional details and links to the trip flyers. Also, please review the policy section at the bottom of this page before signing up for trips.

We will begin accepting registrations for these trips at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018, coinciding with our May club meeting. Registration (in person, online, or by mail) is first-come first-serve. Mailed-in registrations received prior to the May meeting will be treated as if they were presented at the May 10 meeting and will be accepted only from members who live out of the area and do not have Internet access.

In recent years our western trips have often filled up quickly, so if you are interested in either of them, don't delay in getting on board. Our eastern trips typically have more flexibility with respect to capacity and are less likely to sell out early.

A $25 discount is applied to the Snowshoe, Steamboat, Big Sky, and Sunday River trips for sign-ups which occur before October 1, 2018. Also be aware of the sign-up deadlines associated with each trip; depending on the circumstances, it may not be possible to join a trip after the deadline even if it is not full.

Snowshoe, Steamboat, Big Sky, and Sunday River are all eligible for Alterra Mountain Company's multi-resort Ikon Pass and Ikon Base Pass. PSC members who hold one of these passes will be charged the non-skier price for these trips. Participants on the Steamboat trip are also eligible for a small discount when purchasing an Ikon pass in conjunction with that trip. Ikon passes are non-refundable and other restrictions apply; see ikonpass.com for details.

Membership dues are non-refundable and all payments are final.

Payments for ski trips are subject to the following cancellation fees:
  1. $5 for trips priced at $100 or less.
  2. For trips priced over $100, (a) $25 if cancelled up to the date of the September meeting, or (b) $50 if cancelled after the September meeting date and before the stated refund cutoff date for the trip, or (c) if cancelled after the stated refund cutoff date, the greater of (i) the club's unrecoverable costs or (ii) $50.

The club recommends that participants purchase travel insurance to cover contingencies. A trip participant also acknowledges that the club, consisting of unpaid volunteers, makes its best efforts to arrange trips suitable to the members, but makes no guarantees or warranties of any kind.
